Salvation at its core, can be defined as receiving what Jesus did for you through the cross and making him Lord of your life. It's about Jesus removing the barrier between you and the Father, which is your sin nature.
Why do you need salvation, can be answered simply by this statement; your sin nature keeps you separated from your Creator. By not receiving what Jesus did for you, you remain separated from your Creator forever. And while because you presently are alive that doesn't seem like a big deal; but once you die you are confronted with eternal separation and hell.

I'VE HEARD THAT YOU HAVE BEEN DIVORCED, IS THAT TRUE?
Yes indeed. Currently in the body of Christ, we have a 54% divorce ratio. I was one of those statistics. My divorce led me to a very important question. “Why are so many Christians getting divorced?” I had to ask myself this question and the answer that God gave me was astounding. WHY ARE YOU ALWAYS TALKING ABOUT SPEAKING THE WORD EVERY DAY?
There are so many answers that I could give you to this question, it's difficult to narrow that answer down to just a few sentences. But before I answer it, I want to tell you that I do not agree with the “name it and claim it” crowd. Most of the people who are part of that do not understand what it is they're doing and for the most part it is being done religiously. Having said that, the purpose for speaking The Word every day is to first and foremost allow your mind to hear the truth of God's Word daily and allowing your lips to speak His Truth every day.
Most people spend the bulk of their day saying things that violate the Word of God, and in most cases they don't even know they are doing it. Example: "We don't have the money to pay this bill honey, what are we going to do?" This statement is spoken out of their flesh and doesn't align with the Word of God. I know the statement seems innocent enough, but when you begin to speak the life-giving truth of the Word every day, statements like that will not flow from your mouth.
