Learning to Trust the Lord! The valleys in the life can be hard and can seem like they never end. During the valleys, we fight yell, get mad and wish to be anywhere else but there. As the valleys become deeper and darker than we thought we could possibly endure, we wish we could get out no matter the cost. Then , when all hope is gone, when the light seems to be fading and your demise seems certain… Your Father enters in to save you. We often wonder why we were in the valley to begin with, what did we do wrong? But more times than not, it is our Father teaching us to trust Him. How do we know it is our Father and not an attack from “ole stupid” [Satan]? That’s easy…if it is your Father; ALL things come to a halt. But if it’s an attack, it is normally in one area only. If it’s your Father; then you seek Him out for His direction. If it is an attack, then you rebuke it and rest under your Father’s wings! If the Father is taking you through something, then embrace it and ask Him to help you understand it. He will not let you be harmed. He won’t let your fears come to pass. God knows when there is a gun to your head…but He will never let the trigger be pulled. He only wants us to look more like Him and less like the world. So He might use you as a light for others. Sure, it might even hurt a little, but it is nothing compared to the Joy that awaits you on the other side. God wants you to live in the fullness of Faith. That only comes when we have to choose the Word over our circumstances. When we see God as our only source and the world as just a place we are temporarily residing in, we find the Victory! Remember we are Ambassadors of Christ and this world is not our home. So my fellow followers of Christ… Shout out with full assurance “God’s Word is true! I will not be moved!” He will give you the victory soon, but don’t wish it to be rushed, stop and let God do His full work in you and embrace the fullness of change. “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not unto thine own understanding” Proverbs 3:5
